The 9.6CFM Dual Stage HVAC Vacuum Pump by SPECSTAR, is a great way to accomplish many DIY tasks at home with impressive performance. Here are some of the things Iâ€™ve learned about it while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality â€“ The set includes a mix of quality between the different parts. The main pump is good quality and that appear to be made out of nice parts. Iâ€™d put it in the upper-middle level of the quality scale for this type of machine and guess it should last longer then it will take for me to get my value out of it.II. Performance â€“ Its worked well for my needs and left me happy with the performance. Although, this is by no means a professional version of this machine, it has worked great for my needs. The connections were easy to use and they held strong. The pump sounds and works well getting the job done. The oil doesnâ€™t leak, they include some and I havenâ€™t had any faults or failures. The gauges and hoses have worked effectively for checking refrigerant levels and toping up with both types of cans. The leak detector is a great bonus for me that Iâ€™m glad to have at my disposal.Overall, this has been a great package that includes a ton of needed things to service many A/C systems, as well as a few other things. The performance, quality and value have left me more than happy to have it on my team. Iâ€™ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. The dual stage pump has a 1HP motor letting it pump quickly with a flow rate of 9.6 CFM so it gets the system down to 0.2Pa really quickly. It's also got a filter on the inlet to keep foreign objects out of the motor.On of my favorite things is the gauge which lets me see if I've got any leaks, that leak detection is easy to see.This is a great tool for most modern and even some old systems with R134a and R12 but it also handles the newer ones with R22 and R410a.
