Surprisingly, a good throttle bracket was harder to find for my engine/carburetor combo than I thought it would be. 78 Chevy 350 with an Edelbrock 1906. I tried Edelbrock's universal throttle cable bracket and it was not so universal. Everything online I could find showed people making their own, but I don't have the tools to do so. This solved the problem and was more universal than the one that cost 3-4 times more. It's not pretty as far as parts go, but it works like a champ and was easy to install, besides being affordable.

This is a really cool and very useful bracket. It allows you plenty of adjustment for your throttle cable to operate the carburetor butterflies throughout its full range of motion. More importantly it allows for proper adjustment of the T.V. cable to the transmission. (The T.V. doesn't stand for Television by the way !!). The chrome plating is consistent with all of Spectre's products. Good, not great, but there again it's not something as "smack you in the face" visible as a chrome front bumper. With most air filter set ups it's not visible at all, but if it is with your filter housing, it will be just fine. It looks better than the base plate of any carburetor out there. The four star rating I have given it is because the thickness of the metal it's stamped from is a little on the thin side. It could have been at least one or two gauges thicker, but it will stand up to most applications. As long as your not one of those mechanics that puts a return spring on that makes the pedal so stiff you need to use both feet to depress it fully. If you are, then you will need something heavier than this. Along with new throttle shafts and base plate(s) on the carb(s) soon. That's all your accomplishing with that heavy of a return spring is wearing them out prematurely !!! Bottomline: It's a good product that has worked on dozens of custom cars I have seen and built over the years with no problems...

I was able to install this on my 350 Chevy motor and Trans mission in 10 minutes . I was easy to put together and adjust . Its as sturdy as ones i've used on previous cars and paid a lot more money for.

Need a way to hook up a 700r4 to an edelbrock this works. And I already had the supposed one that was supposed to work, from sumitt racing. This one puts the tv cable more in line than other one way offset. Really was scared to run that set up with the 700r4 burning up with wrong pressure. Hooks up with one carb stud but has a lock bolt that's threaded into the metal housing to keep from twisting. Looked kinda cheap and flimsy by looking at picture. But not to worry it's good quality, a lot thicker metal then I was expecting.

It works, but the metal is super flimsy. The whole things shifts forward under just a little throttle pressure, which can really mess things up with a 700r4...
