I have been looking at cold air kits from different mfgs for several years now (seriously) but could never justify the cost for the performance gain. I saw this just last week, and ordered it, and could not be happier. It was MUCH less expensive, the quality seems great, and the install was pretty darn easy as well.It sounds MUCH better- like the car is gulping air now. I also feel like it has better punch at higher RPMs, but it drives just like it used to at lower push.Worth the money and time for sure!--UPDATING- I did have some issues with the filter coming loose. I ended up using a disk cutter and a dremel to roughen up the cylinder where the filter attaches, and that seems to prevent it (it was just too smooth). So if you get something like this, make sure to check it and tighten it regularly. Not changing the rating, as I am still very happy with the item.

Pros: It's cheap. It's the cheapest "cold air intake" on the market. That's where the pros end.Cons: Material feels cheap because it is. The metal pipe heat soaks like crazy. Doing back to back pulls on a dyno showed a loss in power across the board compared to the stock Chevy SS intake. Conclusion: Save your money. Buy a VCM and actually make 10-15HP over stock, and it looks better.

You absolutely can’t beat this for the money. I have 2015 Chevy SS sedan. Took me about 45 mins to install. The assembly instructions we clear and easy to follow. The fitment is right on point and I like the sound of the armor being sucked in the intake. I would recommend this product hands down. Compared to the other 2-3 times the price you simply can’t beat this. Throttle response seem sharper but I can’t notice in huge power gains but most intakes don’t provide more than 20hp anyway so it would be difficult to notice either way. I will be considering Spectre CAI for my other cars.

Looks great and does what its supposed to do, but.... The connections and fitment could be better. They need constant monitoring to make sure nothing came loose. First intake cone filter kept sliding off no matter how tight the clap was. I did call Spectre CS and they sent me another intake cone and ring attachment which seems to work better but it also seems to loosen over time. I do understand that with any bolt on products, you may need to check fitments more often, that comes with the territory but seems like the intake cone itself would have threading of some sort to screw it on to secure it properly. Good thing I kept my OEM intake.
