This product is great and definitely made a difference in the motors performance. It’s almost identical to the K&N but a lot less expensive. I painted mine with glass black high heat paint to match the theme of my Durango and I think it turned out pretty good. The fit is a little snug but with some finagling it worked. Also it does slip off, like the other reviews suggest, but I just used some sand paper to give those area’s more traction and I haven’t had any problems since. Don’t look any further, just buy it and keep your old one in case you don’t like it, which you will. This intake with with some muffler delete action and a tune is a great cheap way to make your ride a little bit more enjoyable.

Product looks great and fits great. Easy install, good product for the value, just dosent have the intake box, just the shield so it sucks in a lot of warm air from the engine compartment. Otherwise good product!

Overall, very good setup for the price. High quality materials, shiny tube...looks sweet compared to old air box and extra chambers. This is clearly a great value when compared to K&N and others, and way cheaper than Mopar CAI with is inferior to the Spectre. Overall it took 45 minutes (it should have been much quicker... see #3 below)...Improvements I would suggest for Spectre are:(1) Improve the installation instructions booklet so that the bracket mounting to frame and heat shield is more visible in pictures. You cannot see anything in the provided pictures.(2) Tweek the heat shield dimensions to better fill the space / carry front lip over to the left to capture as much of the incoming air, and(3) Grommet/sensor mounting was a huge PITA. That step alone took more time/effort than all other steps. Interior circumference is, IMHO, too small for the sensor. And yes, dish soap, etc. can help... but the sensor is jagged and because of this, this step is unnecessarily problematic. Once you do get it in, you will wonder if it will stay. Sensor does not go in all the way to where the factory O ring channel is.

Nice and quiet for daily commuting and gets throaty when you want to get on it. Improvement in mpg and feel a difference in throttle response and horse power

This looks like a good CAI for the money and it is after you get it to stop falling off the tube. The install instructions aren’t very clear and the length of the tube could be about 2†longer. The filter falls off the smooth fitting leaving the air intake unfiltered so don’t install it and forget it. The clamp fits snugly but it works itself off in a day or so of normal driving. The fix was to rough up the surface of the plastic fitting so the filter has something to grab and / or put in two or three set screws to keep the filter in place. Once that is done it seems great like most other kits like this. Looks great so it still gets the stars, but just make sure it stays put. Don’t trust the tight fit you get at first.
