Great Product. I was looking for a fun activity to play with my friends in the park and I found it. I'm a beginner badminton player and was grateful for the larger area of the racket. After 10 minutes of practicing, we were able to maintain the birdie in the air and have a good game. Many kids were attracted to our game because the birdie actually whistles when it travels in the air.I used the glow in the dark insert after sunset. Just like the glow in the dark necklaces, I opened these inserts and gave it a good crack-n-shake until I saw the green glow color. The insert fits perfectly into the center of the birdie and stays in place. I also noticed the birdie was a bit heavier and added some weight. Of course you may not notice until you hit it. We were able to make the birdie travel longer distances. We had light breezes during our game and the birdie maintained course when it had the insert. If the insert is removed, then the birdie has a tendency to be affected by the wind. You should also note that when the insert is in, the birdie will not whistle.The rackets are good quality. We had a good grip on the racket and the rackets left no residue. Other rackets shed some of that handle material but I was happy this set maintains its quality. We learned quickly, had good game rounds, and lots of memorable laughs.Overall, I enjoyed this product and recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun and feel accomplished for keeping the birdie in the air for an extended amount of time.

I teach PE and although we love badminton, a lot of kids have a hard time with the long shaft of a badminton racket. This set solves that! Way more sturdy then badminton, easier to hit and hit hard, the birdie is way better and less affect by winds. It whistles too when hit hard which is a fun goal. I bought a second set for home and may convince the school to get a few sets as well. I do wish they sold a sleeve of their birdies (shuttlecocks, but try teaching that to middle schoolers!) separately since we keep getting ours stuck in the tree and can’t play again until it falls down in wind.

I just received this. Like other reviewers I was tired of buying cheaper sets for play around the pool that rusted and dissolved. I just hit the birdie around by myself this afternoon. Fun. Nice racket in terms of construction, but having a short handle will take some getting used to. I am not sure someone with short arms would like the short handle. On the advice of other shoppers, I bought some extra birdies. Should of went with the variety pack. I selected the night set and they are about 1/2 the size of the nicely sized birdie that comes with this set and they are not splayed. The configuration is more likely a shorter, thinner regular birdie. While expensive I think these will last for years and are worth the investment.

Was afraid this would be a low quality item based on the reviews on here. I needn't have worried. The photos online dont do it justice. The rackets are well made, the paint on them looks better in person than on photos, and the actual badminton shuttles are a blast to play with , wind or no wind. Been having fun with my kids playing on these. NOTE: You may want to think of getting replacement shuttles for when these fly over the fence into your grumpy neighbor's garden. Not every neighbor will give it back to you. LOL.Overall: Buy it! Fun for the whole family.

It's pretty windy at where I live. I love to play badminton but there is no place for me to play. I am very glad that I found this set. This is a really nice set to play with kids. They are light and they are fun. I recommend for everyone.

I bought two sets so as to have enough rackets for four players. The game is lively and fun even while young children are growing their skills. We began by hanging a single speeder (birdie) from the ceiling of each of our our garage bays. The kids got practice in methods of using their rackets. The size and sturdiness of the the rackets make for a surprising range of play for all ages.

Easier than badminton and better in breezy weather, since we used the weighted birdie. I like the large racquet face and the fact that it's not too heavy for 8 and 10 year olds to handle. We bought lots of extra weighted birdies, balls, and heli birdies so the play could continue when the birdies went out of bounds and into neighbors' yards and on top of walls.

I purchased the Speedminton set for a family outing and I have to say, it was well worth the money - and so much fun! First, there's no net so you can set your own boundaries. The rackets are lightweight and the design allows you to easily hit the birdie. Whether you play for fun or competitively is up to you but you'll definitely have a lineup of people wanting to play. One small negative was the glow-in-the-dark birdie...you couldn't see it too much in the dark. No worries, you'll have more fun playing with the HELI speeder birdies. If the company is reading this review, I'd recommend getting rid of the glow-in-the-dark birding and provide three HELI speeder birdies. All-in-all, we'll be playing with this set for years to come!
