I was looking for a new lifeguard swimsuit and all the other ones had reviews saying that the lettering comes off. This one has the lettering stitched in which I absolutely love. I am 5'6 and about 150 lbs. I wear a 34B bra and most of my ~extra~ weight is centered around my waist and thighs. I ordered a 36 and it was realllllly tight around that bottom area but fit perfectly on the top. The fabric feels really durable, but it has a thick seam going from the side to the back, so that is pretty much what made it so tight down there. I decided to order a size up as an exchange (40) and ended up actually keeping the 36 and deciding to slim down a bit in order to fit into it because the 40 was practically hanging off of me at the top, but fit nicely at the bottom. Plus, the box says it is supposed to fit skin tight out of the water and it will expand in the water for more movement.

My daughter is a life guard. She likes the cut, fit and coverage. It is true to size. It matches her red shorts. We will see how it does through the busy summer season but it works for now.

I ordered this suit in a size 38 and loved it at first. The first week I wore it, it was great and super cute on. However, after only two weeks of wear I noticed it start to stretch out. Now after 4 weeks of wear, it has stretched out to the point of being unwearable. I don’t recommend buying this suit, Speedo makes great suits and this is not one of them. If your gonna get it size down and maybe it will last longer, but other options are better. Mine now has holes in it and didn’t last an entire lifeguarding summer season. Not even half actually. Don’t get this item pick a different suit.
