I purchased this suit in January to join my lifeguard son at his “Mamaw and Papaw class†where mature adults have open swim at the local high school pool. It’s perfect and as an avid (although not great) swimmer/hot tuber, this suit has stood up well the last 6 months. I like the way the legs are cut longer. I have an apron belly after 2 c-sections. I struggle to find bottoms that cover my belly and still cover the inside of my leg. There is usually not enough fabric. Because of the boy leg cut of this suit, it perfectly covers all of that but still appears to be a regular suit. Perfect for plus size ladies. Lays modestly around the bottom and bust, perfect to be around my elders to swim. May I advise that you measure yourself and do not size down. I saw other reviews that talked about “white threads†coming out over time. As someone who has sewn Lycra and 4 way stretch garments, those “threads†are the elastic within the fabric that busted because you bought the suit too small. The suit has held well in chlorine and bromine. I do make sure to rinse it out after each use. I’ve used it at the very minimum of 3 times a week the last 6 months I’ve had no color loss, dry rotting or elastic busting. Bless you Speedo, this one’s a keeper. 5/5 would recommend with proper sizing and care this is a fantastic plus size suit.

I swim a few miles a week. Wear size 8. Alter between colors navy and black. I always have one as a back up. They last approx 8 months for me with continual use due to chlorine bleach out and just losing shape from normal wear. I've been ordering these for at least 10 years. I like them for the fit. They are lined, great material, built in soft bra, move with me (flip turns), conservative fit. Occasionally, you can get them for a great price. I just turned 60 and used them all through my 50's, maybe even my 40's (don't recall).

I have given this item a 4 star because I haven’t gone swimming in this suit so I don’t know how it ‘holds up’ in chlorine and after swimming but it seems very well made and is very comfortable on. It seems ‘true to size’ I wear a size 4 women’s pants and a size 8 women’s top (34DD bust) , I weight 128 and am 5’4†tall and I purchased a size 8. Looking forward to taking this suit on my trip to Italy in the Spring!

This Speedo suit is great, though I haven’t yet been in the water wearing it. I am 5’3†and 155-160 pounds, 36DD. I ordered the size 12 and it fits well. It is double lined, nice soft sewn in bra with ample support, leg openings are perfect with no binding, lots of stretch and comfortable, yet feels substantial with good compression. I am very pleased with it!!

This is my first Speedo fitness suit. But I'll definitely be ordering more. I take part in an aqua aerobics class 3 times a week. So I need a good long lasting suit. I've only been wearing this a few weeks so I can't exactly comment on the long lasting part, but I can review my experience with it so far.Pros: Very well made. It has a full powerflex liner and good bra. It feels very nice and firm while exercising. The princess seams work to make it a nice looking fit as well. I like the conservative leg cut.Cons: It is a tight fitting suit. If you are used to a nylon and spandex suit with a lot of give, this one will feel very tight and you may want to go up a size. Also, this is the first racerback style that I've worn and it makes it even a little harder to get in and out of.Waiting to see: As I said, I've only worn it for a few weeks. So I'm waiting to see if the xtra life Licra lives up to its billing and does last longer. I'll update this post in a few months to indicate the amount of fading and whether it stretches out like the nylon/spandex suits do.

I wish I had photos and smelling-o-vision. I was at first delighted at the fit and cover of this suit. I had purchased two black ones, and the style was comfortable for exercise with a higher neck so I didn’t feel like my chest would fall out. They were purchased for swimming in an indoor pool and doing aqua aerobics. The suit felt absolutely great, and I was particularly thrilled because buying plus size suits that you can’t try on is typically challenging.I hand washed, rinsed and air dried the suit after each use at the indoor pool.Unfortunately, the suit began to degrade after only being used for about 2 to 3 months, 3-4x a week. White fiber breakage began to appear at the chest and down the length of the body of the suit. Like it had been stretched out.I had some traveling to do and put it awayWhen I returned, I pulled the suit out of my bag to put on, and it was twice the size that it had been the last time I had used it! It had further degraded in my absence! It felt tacky to the touch as stank of oily residue, like when you find an old bottle of kitchen oil .I had my back up suit, and began using that. The same exact thing happened the second time, so it wasn’t just a fluke. These suits were not cheap. This is a good brand, or so I thought, so I thought I was buying some thing that would last me more than one season.I am very disappointed. At this point, I’m done buying from the brand. Don’t expect longevity from these suits. I suppose if you’re just using them once in a while, they might work for you.

I've been using this once or twice per week for a few months now. It is holding up very well. Took up swimming for health reasons and this was my first, real pool swimsuit in ages. I choose this one for the great reviews and because of the decent ones that are not crazy expensive, this one seemed more on the modest side. I feel secure in it. Meaning I'm not worried about one of the girls accidentally slipping out while I'm swimming. Does help me concentrate on my movement and not on possible wardrobe issues. I always rinse it out after swimming and hang dry it. I will say it runs pretty true to size. I'm kind of between a 14 and 12. Went with the 14 for extra comfort but could definitely do with the 12 as well. It does feel like I have extra room but again, it is built in a way that I'm not worried about accidental boob showing. Absolutely recommend this one!
