Solid, well made steering reduction. Splined on both ends but with bushings it makes any install pretty straight forward. I used it on a homebuilt reverse trike and it really solved all the front steering issues. There are two tapped 3/8-16 holes on the bottom for mounting. I ended up drilling two more at right angles along the side and tapping in order to make mounting fit my situation better.

I received and obviously used item that had the mounting holes stripped out. Second problem I have had with Speedway items in the last week. They need to get on top of their quality control and pricing structure through Amazon.

Small enough to place in between headers would be nice if it came with mounting bracket options

I bought this so I could use handlebars on an old 1973 Simplicity garden tractor. It replaced part of the shaft and was mounted with a garage rail support bracket. However, the 2:1 ratio still wasn't quite enough, as hoped for. I don't know if a rack and pinion would have mattered. The stock linkage and gear were still tight enough, that I didn't want to replace them with a cheap rack that might not last long. The only other option is to shorten the handlebar or put a different steering wheel on or the old one. The resistance with the quickener, didn't seem to be an issue as yet. The color I received was black, which I prefer anyway.

Even though your steering wheel turns easily when it’s connected, when you attach the steering shaft to the output of the reducer down to the steering box, your steering turns into a two handed job. I had my steering box rebuilt and no change, so I removed the reducer and went back to OEM and my one handed power steering returned. I have to turn twice as much, but like it much better.
