The outlet tester works as designed and is easy to use. Light codes are on both sides.The line tester is not as accurate. The detector will show voltage where there is no measurable voltage with a multimeter. A good thing is that I have not received a false no voltage indication. I would not trust this as my only voltage check.The rating in mainly for the outlet tester. The line voltage tester overall is two stars at best.

The non contact is very sensitive but so was the brand or two I tried before this one. Had some gcfi issues and this tester just saved me hours. Great buy, happy I bought this!

I wish if it had a voltage display as well but it detects the power and beeps .Got both the plug and sensor tester Iam happy about it.
