SPHERGO® Starter Kit Includes: (1) Telescoping Aluminum Handle w/Socket - up to 62" (1) Extended Reach Pole w/Socket - 24" (2) Surface Cleaning Tools - (1) Medium, (1) Large (3) Medium MicroWorks® Flat Pads (3) Medium MicroWorks® Flat Specialty Pads (3) Large MicroWorks® Flat Pads The SPHERGO™ surface-cleaning base tool together with MicroWorks® microfiber cleaning pads was developed specifically to address problems presented by using traditional rag cleaning and wiping systems for flat surfaces. Why SPHERGO™? While manual cleaning with rags can be effective, the process requires a great deal of wrist motion and physical bending for extended periods. Rag cleaning results in the highest rate of fatigue and potential for Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The SPHERGO™ Surface Cleaning System is an ergonomic breakthrough, developed through extensive research and testing to address the physical challenges of manual cleaning of flat vertical and horizontal surfaces (walls, floors, mirrors, windows, etc.). Patent-pending spherical ball handle on the base tool allows the user to minimize musculoskeletal stresses common to manual cleaning processes The flat pad surface rotates around the ball handle, dramatically minimizing the wrist motions, repeated torso flexion, and straining movements that can lead to MSDs Tested according to REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) guidelines, the SPHERGO system was found to lessen flexion, extension, and radial/ulnar deviation when cleaning, compared to the results when using a standard rag or mopping system

At first, it came in missing the longer pole. I think that was a shipping problem. When they receive it back, they sent a new set.We used it once. The second time the long pole would not lock in place.Very disappointed. Hopefully they will replace the pole!Update: Amazon is wonderful to work with. Sphergo not so much. Never received long pole replacement. Piece of JUNK!! Save your money!! Never would waste my money again! I learned!

I have a microfiber mop I bought years ago. It worked pretty well, but over time, the telescoping handle on it decided that it didn't want to hold anymore, so now every time I push the mop, it just squishes the pole down. Plus, that one had a screw on head, and it also liked to come lose so you couldn't push very hard on it without is spinning instead of pushing. This one has a ball and socket type mechanism where the head meets the pole. It is pretty ingenious design which works just like the ball and socket of your arm/shoulder (you'd think people would have thought of this earlier for tools like this since shoulder joints aren't new!) The connection makes it very easy to turn the item and to move along floors. What is ergonomic about it though isn't when you use the pole (holding a stick/handle is the same as with any mop.) it is when you hold the pad itself by the blue ball. Normally, we really flex our wrists to hold towels and rags, which puts strain in an unnatural motion/pose. When you hold the ball, your wrist and forearm are in a more natural position. Also, you can push with the middle and heel of your hand, not using your fingers. If you are like me, you will know what it is like to push a rag with the heel of your hand because your fingers are tired! It comes with furry type microfiber pads and smoother pads. I wasn't exactly sure what the smoother ones were for, since my old mop only came with rough and fine microfiber types. According to the sphero webpage, the MicroWorks® pad is a" specialty flat pad designed witha low nap for streak-free cleaning on glass, mirrors, and other reflective surfaces." I am sort of a fan of using a for windows, so I may end up just using the other pads for rough cleaning of windows, then the squeegee. It comes with a short (24") pole and a telescoping one. There is also a smaller and larger head for the pads. They are interchangeable for either handle and can be used without a handle. The shorter one is good for most walls and bathtubs/showers. The longer one is good for floors and higher things.I really like the set you get. I kind of wish it came with a really coarse type of microfiber for holding a lot of soap for outdoor windows and for dusting. The kind that There is a set of 4 different branded ones that look like they should fit this set, I may end up buying those. It would also be nice to have maybe a lambswool type head for high dusting of light fixtures or walls. It doesn't take away from this product by not having those things, but would be nice add-on type items for the system. Heck, even sandpaper would be nicer to use holding these!

I'm a little confused as to why the reviews are so high for this mop. Maybe they haven't used it long enough. In the beginning, it's a great mop. Easy to use, swivels, gets under furniture etc. But once the socket and ball start to wear out, it's a nightmare to use. It constantly flips over when you're trying to mop, the socket will actually just pop off the ball... Makes your job twice as hard and takes twice as long. I used these when I worked for a professional cleaning company. Once I went out on my own, I ditched this mop first thing. To each his own, I guess

This item is OK, I think that it is very pricey for what it is. I have had other ones similar to it, and not as expensive. There is one that is shorter with a small pad and a larger one that can adjust length with a larger pad area. The pads come with it, which is nice, and they are washable, so you don't have to keep buying more. The small pads have two different kinds, but I could find no documentation with the package that explained the difference and what to use where. I think the item works well and if very nice.

What you get in the box are two bases that can be used by holding the ball for close up work or attached easily to one of two poles for areas not easily reached. One pole is 24" and does not extend or shorten. The other pole telescopes by twisting the pole in one direction and shortens by twisting it in the other direction. You get 9 micro pads in two different sizes and in two different types. The light blue pads are great for wiping dust off furniture - especially hard to reach tops and for removing dust from baseboards. You can use this pad on any hard surface. The other type of pad that is included works exceptionally well on the floor. You can dust or mop the floors and the pad will pick up stuff you didn't even know was there. This kit is not your average fiber mop and duster, it is ergonomic so you get less strain on your hands, arms, knees, feet and legs. The instructions for putting them together are quite simple. I would like a little more clarity on which pad is for what type of job. I had to look it up to be sure. This kit is also green, as you can reuse the pads after laundering.
