I see people posting that they used this for their 8.8 axle. While the bolt pattern is correct (4.25" measured diagonally) the PILOT diameter is NOT. Just went thru this with a customer who bought a couple of these flanges thinking he had the right one for the 8.8. This flange (3-2-1879) has a 2.55 female pilot. The Ford 8.8 has a 2" pilot. The pilot is what actually centers and locates the flange on the pinion, and the bolts hold it tight. This flange is NOT LUG CENTRIC like a tire rim. The bolts do not want the job of centering and securing the flange. With this oversize pilot, it will be damn near impossible to have the flange actually run true when mated to the pinion flange. The PROPER flange, for an 8.8, 2" pilot, 4.25 BC, for a 1350 ujoint, is the 3-2-1579.Don't be fooled by casting numbers! A number beginning with a C is not a Spicer part number, it's the casting number, the part number for the raw casting prior to machining. This is the perfect example of two very different flanges that are made from the same casting.

Perfect fit on a 8.8 Ford out of an Explorer. Swapped into my S10 with a 4L80e and wanted 1350’s front and rear.

May have to trim the end of the universal joint to be able to set the cir clip properly.

Says fits for 8.8 differential but is for a F350 not f150 and Sport trac.
