This set worked perfectly... after I added some needed washers. It was a shame the manufacturer cheeped out on such a simple detail. The nut end was a standard out of the box washer, however, the chuck end required a little widening and trimming to allow the smallest rubber tube to fit. Without the washers, the rubber tube would slip past the end stops and the sanding tube would slip off. Once the washers were added, there was enough surface area to hold the rubber sleeves in place and give the needed compression to hold the sanding spindles. Post installing of the washers and I was able to use all the rubber tubes with the matching sanding tubes. No big slippage unless I was pushing very hard.

I really like that the sandpaper that comes with the sanding drums has the grit number on it. This is helpful when changing out used sandpaper, and lose track of which is which. Not all drum sandpaper that you purchase online has the grit number, so I was very happy with it.I gave this four stars because I have bought drums from other manufacturers that came in a plastic tool kit container. This manufacturer just supplied the drums and sandpaper, which means that I will need to come up with a way to organize these.

I am using this to sand holes smooth in my 6061T6 aluminum hulls I am making. And while these do the job, within minutes the sanding surface is spent and worn down to the substrate.

I haven't tried the other sizes but the large one is loose enough to slip and wander up and down. I've needed to add washers to the top and bottom to provide more expansion of the rubber drum.
