We bought this thinking we was putting up an 18' pool. We changed our mind and bought the larger 26' pool instead. I know the Gorilla pad is only 24' but we stretched it out, flopped it on the ground that was terribly unlevel and so much grass/small rocks. I'm honestly surprised at how well this is working since we didn't do much prep work before we literally "threw" the pool up and filled it. We plan on taking the pool down and leveling it and making it more long term. But I have to say, for what we did on that HOT day back in May, it has kept us from having punctures and keeps the ground feeling softer under our feet. I have recommended this to everyone with a pool.

Just installed an above ground pool. This seems thin but its supposed to work so I'm hopeful 😊

Very Durable! Have had one for my 15 foot pool for years! BRAVO! Kept the ground hog from tearing the liner, no roots, had a bottle cap underneath and it never punctured it even after 3 grand children playing almost every day for the last 4 seasons Getting one for our 24 foot pool this year because I am impressed with how it seems to be tougher than anything my grandchildren can put it through!I would like to add that there was no mold or mildew on the liner which I am now using as a base for my Lodge Tent..multiple uses! :) Thanks Again!

Ordered the liner, gorilla pad and coving. My husband put this in with very little help, so it is not in perfectly, but that is not a product issue. Used one summer - we don't use pool heavily at all, and have no children. We smoothed the fround like crazy at the bottom before installing and hand-picked up debris of all sizes, but it is still a little lumpy. The pad is not as thick as it could be, I guess, but you can feel the cushion versus nothing.

This product made the liner installation easier but the negative was the seams were not properly stitched and the fabric was puckered the full length of one seam. I had to proceed with installation due to weather conditions compromising the pool site. Allow time to inspect your product in case you have to order another one, the puckered fabric does not flatten out under pressure and even though the bottom looks smooth at 6 inches of water the wrinkles appear as the water gets deeper. Good idea but poor construction. Update to this review 1 year later had to install new liner due to liner defect and chose to order a new liner pad. The new pad was perfectly flat with smooth seams. I applied vegetation killer to the dirt and around pool cove then installed pad. Liner was smooth and wrinkle free this time. Very happy with second experience using this product.

This pad works very well , it was a little out of round but was sufficient to cover the ground under our pool liner.we had an issue on the previous liner with grass and roots growing up through the sand through the liner and had to eventually replace the liner. This made installation of the pool liner a little easier due to it stays in place very well and doesn't wrinkle up underneath the liner, and you can move the liner around on top of this pad to get the wrinkles out.... I recommend this pad for everyone who puts a pool liner in, and sidenote I would use a Styrofoam Cove around the bottom of the pool wall

It's a big ass piece of felt, I don't know how it's going to do yet cause I just set up the pool. I gave it five stars because I know sewing and materials, there is no way I could make this on a home sewing machine, and the amount of material used to make it exceeds what I could buy with the same amount of money in the store.

If I was to buy again I would by the next size up. Since it was to small. So will not attempt to protect the bottom of your liner. All though I would not purchase this brand again. I only had it under my pool for 2 seasons and had replace my liner because ants seemed to put holes in my liner. There are holes where the ants chewed right the this pad. I had a different brand that did a better job at protecting my liner since it did not get any holes from ants in it. That brand was made from a white cloth that was thicker.
