Forget trying to find a replacement sponge for your old Quickie butterfly mop. I've been trying for years (on & off). This replacement had the screws in the right place, but also had a higher plastic base than the old mop and would not screw onto the mop as the base held it too far away for the screws to reach in. I ended up ripping off the attachments on both sponges and regluing the old ones to the new sponge. What a nightmare! After this wears out, the whole mop goes into the trash. If I could have given no stars, I would have.

The refill did not fit my old mop because the design of the backing on the refill was thicker than the original. The studs in the original are not long enough to reach through the new thicker refill backing

But once I got it softened it works fine.

I queried Amazon for a Quickie mop head size H. This one came up. It looked like what I had, but I did not measure before ordering. Needless to say, it wasn't even a close fit. I ran into this problem before with Amazon where the substitute wasn't appropriate. Couldn't return as all packaging was discarded. Argh! Wasted money!

The measurements were spot on for our mop but, this particular mop head was much to thick for the mop. Had to modify the back side of the mop head to make the studs and nuts make up. Also I would have to say that the sponge is very low quality. It started coming apart after the first use.

Bought the refill for a 6 1/2†spacing, the refill was supposed to have. It’s 7â€.
