I bought this for RESIN ART MOLDS- TO DEMOLD/RELEASE. I’m spraying this lightly onto the silicone molds at about 10- 12 inches away for just a second or two blast at each cavity, or across the entire area, if they are really smaller. I had been reluctant to buy a mold release agent because I thought my pieces were releasing easy. Well, after using this I now know I was putting my molds thru unnecessary stress because they just pop out of the molds as if they want to leave there & quickly! After researching the ‘Life Expectancy Of Silicone Molds’, I became painfully aware that my molds, & yours, will only last a certain number of pours -probably 8 -9 or less - before they lose their glossiness.. & then a couple more times & they are no longer good at all. However, with a proper release agent ..this spray or similar, the life of the molds are jumped up by many many more pours/castings! Now I understand how important it is to use a release agent FROM THE VERY 1st POUR/BEGINNING! I’ve seen it with my own eyes.. every single pour takes a little bit of a molds finish with it.. so every single pour reduces the quality of the pieces as it goes along. We pay a lot of money for our molds, so why we refuse to buy something so simple to care for them is something I don’t understand.. but I have made the mistake with numerous molds .. and I won’t be without this product now that I know. Some molds that are deeper you have to get the spray nozzle a bit closer to it and do a quick blast left & right. And after spraying, they all have to be cleaned a bit on the flat surface area up & around the outside of the actual mold. Which isn’t anything but a fast wipe down with a baby wipe or soft tissue paper. (I do it with the mold upside down so no debris falls in) It’s just a tiny bit of overspray that beads up & probably can be left but I prefer to wipe it away before pouring resins. The spray- even tho it’s wiped off, also makes cleanup easier after the pieces are cured. Using tape: BEFORE REMOVING THE PIECES .. place a piece of scotch tape onto the mold & burnish lightly with a fingertip.. & lift away excess resins drizzles & glitters. Repeat until cleaned. Cheaper tape is better! Then demold the pieces. 😊This can is heavy. It will last a long time. For $14 or $15 to save a multitude of molds over & over it is literally pennies per use! ..& it can fix squeaky doors & windows and shine shoes or purses too, haha!Edit 09-27-2020: came back after talking with a fellow resin artist who had issues & said he had no luck with this, to add this 100% important thing.. after cleaning up the molds with clear tape I spray the molds & then bag each mold individually in a zipper bag. However, ->> JUST A MINUTE OR TWO BEFORE POURING RESIN INTO A MOLD I GIVE IT ANOTHER QUICK SHOT OF THIS SPRAY!!! If your molds are not releasing right and you’ve used the spray right after cleaning them.. YOU HAVE TO RE-SPRAY AGAIN JUST BEFORE POURING!! The spray we’re doing right after cleaning for storage keeps them in good condition & helps them to last longer.. but it is absorbed. I still do this as it keep them pliable & soft 💯💯💯.. then after I get everything ready & my micas, pastes, glitter colors etc are all made I quickly step off to the side and spray them all again. MY PIECES ARE POPPING OUT LIKE MAGIC! I’m happy to report that my friend says that he’s now doing the 2nd spraying- right before pouring - his resin & he is so glad we talked about this.. he’s thrilled with the results!I know this was a long read.. but if you’re like we are YOU HAVE INVESTED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS on molds!! Doing a little research isn’t a bad thing to save all those molds! Spray twice! Once for the long term care & once for the quick release. Happy Arting Everybody! 🌹💜✌️

This review goes out to resin crafters & artists looking for an easy way to release your epoxy or urethane casts. Works great for resin & epoxy molds. I like this release agent as it sprays a very fine mist (or dusting) of mold release. It doesn’t interfere or alter the original surface of your casts and also greatly preserves & extends the life of expensive (and inexpensive) silicone molds. If you don’t use mold release regularly while working with various resins, eventually your molds will collect residue from prior castings and could deteriorate after time. It not only protects your molds, but also protects you from having to remake new molds or purchase additional replacements of ready to cast silicone molds. Good product and very reasonably priced. Worth the money, and especially worth saving the time & money you’ll lose when a mold gets damaged overtime without using any parting agent. Other mold releases are more expensive and sometimes spurt out larger droplets, but not this stuff. Avoid future nightmare casting scenarios & degeneration of your molds…and spray a fine mist over each mold before pouring resin into your cherished molds. You won’t be disappointed by this inexpensive mold release & it’ll take care of you & your molds for years after other molds would degenerate over time if not misted with mold release. Buy it, I believe you’ll like it a lot, so will your creations and molds. Lube your molds up & get busy have some fun, all you creative casters & mold makers!

I have tried many mold release brands and most of the time they do not work well. This one, though, is wonderful. I will admit I don't use the releases as is often recommended in videos of spraying a mist in the air and then waving your mold through it. That has never worked for me and I have ruined so many molds with them sticking. So I do put it on fairly heavy, let it dry and repeat. So far, out of all the products I have tried and used my method this is the only one that seems to really work on a consistent basis. Definitely ordering more!!

This spray made my machine extension table surface very slippery with no residue transferred to the fabric. I also sprayed it in the bobbin case and on the machine bed itself for free motion quilting. I could not figure out how to use the included small directional spray head though. The product I received looks like the attached photo not the photo in the listing.I had contacted the supplier to make sure exactly what I was getting. They were very helpful, and the product came within 3 days! It is a great value for the price!

Spray a light coat on table saw top and out feed table. Creates a slick top for sheets of plywood to move across with ease.

Sprayway 946 is an outstanding non-staining silicone lubricant. We use it for everything from min-blinds to hang glider battens. Be careful to NOT get it on wood floors as it makes them slippery like ice!

I've only used this silicone spray as a mold release one time so far. I'm sure I followed the directions, but the release did not impress or meet my expectations. Not bad just didn't meet expectations. Were my expectations to high. We'll have to wait and see.
