I bought this because my paddle would not touch the bowl of my kitchenaid. The spring was easy to install and fit. The washer was a little hard but I got it on. It works perfectly. The money it cost was nothing compared to my ingredients actually mixing together. I would have probably paid a little more.

This makes sure the attachment stays in place tightly. It’s easy to instal, took just seconds. Doesn’t make the attachment harder to instal. This really should be a factory piece.

I recently purchased a new paddle and it was being pushed up much higher than my previous one and was not mixing in things at the bottom of the bowl. This spring is super strong and keeps my paddle down where it should be. Highly recommend.

I’ve bought each of my kids a KitchenAid mixer for a wedding present. One of my greatest disappointments was that they no longer had the spring to hold the attachment in place. I was super excited to find this little gadget. It works great and was easy to install. The opening on the washer allows installation without removing the pin, which was a nice feature. It really does help Keep the attachment firmly in place. I definitely recommend it.

This is the part that was deleted from the manufacturer for unknown reasons. It makes the attachments fit better and work better!!!! Come on Kitchenaid, make it right and put it back in your blenders!!!!!!

So far, this attachment has worked great and it fit my 4.5qt classic mixer. Installation was relatively easy, but I had to use pliers to twist the washer. While having it on the mixer, I definitely noticed an improvement in the consistency of mixing, as I no longer had to keep scraping the bottom of the bowl. I will also mention, that you should re-calibrate your paddle height, by adjusting the screw at the base of the mixer head joint. Once done, I get no more wobbling and the paddles are able to properly scrape the bottom of the bowl.

Good strength in the spring and the washer is easy to put on without it losing its shape. Keeps the attachments on nice and stiff.
