calibration was easy.I tested with a few weight plates, 2.5, 5, and 10 lbs. all correct.I weighed my cat in a bag. he's 12 lbs.finally I weighed my bags. 22 lbs.seems nice and solid.

I would rather 1 lb. scale instead of 2 lb.

I received my scale today however when I got it out of box the face of the scale was broken in 2 places.

Used to weight I hog I just put down. I guess it weighted correctly (360 lbs) BUT while on scales at least one of the two hooks deformed and the hog dropped. Not cool. The manufacturer and or seller should have tested the hooks at over max weight.So do not use with the hooks it came with.
