I read the reviews and wiped them down before using, but I didn't notice heavy oil on the items. They are sturdy and precise enough for the simple work I'm doing!

They seem OK for my purposes, and price was reasonable. However, they appear to be bare steel, and likely rust when give opportunity, so I sprayed with a clear finish in hopes of minimizing rust.

Obviously made in China. Poorly manufactured. Covered in grease........to prevent rust. Will work for what I need. Would not use it for any real accuracy.

The tools are strong and durable, but too rough for measuring tools. The roughness is a problem when you need precise measurements .
