I have an old set of aluminum vertical blinds that had the cord mechanism missing, so the cord just hung there. I finally searched to see if I could get the cord controller mechanism and found this one on Amazon. It screwed into the frame exactly where the old (no longer there) mechanism was and works great. I'm really happy I finally fixed it, especially with small grandchildren around. The mechanism is of good quality.
