Easy to useFit in tight spacesI received these today and tried them out around the house to see how they worked.First impressions:On old hinges, the hinge pin removal tool takes a few strikes to drive the pin out of the top, newer hinges would probably be much easier, time will tell. Less space was necessary to use it compared to a hammer/punch, this made removing the bottom hinge pin easier. The nailset works well to recess finishing nails. Drove a framing nail from a nailgun 1/2" into a 2x4 with 6 strikes. It will bend small brads from a trim nailer if they're stucking out too far, but thats to be expected with thin wire brads. Fun tool to use, and very quick.Overall, glad I bought this set, and I think I'll enjoy using these at work.

We had all our inside door hinges replaced as part of a remodel last year. One hinge recently started squeaking, but for the life of me I couldn't get the pin out to lubricate it. My normal strategy of putting a nail in the bottom and knocking it upwards with a hammer to push out the pin didn't seem to budge it. Grabbing the pin with vise-grips or diagonal cutters and banging on them didn't work, either, though that did a bit of cosmetic damage to the pin. I searched the Internet for other approaches, but nothing I tried worked. Then I stumbled upon this tool and decided to give it a shot. Within minutes of receiving the tool, I had the problematic pin out.So, I figured solving a problem that had me stymied warranted a review. Plus I wanted to tell someone but it's hard to get friends excited about hinge pin removal. The spring tools themselves seem solid and well made, and no worse for wear after removing a couple hinge pins. My only caution is not to get too relaxed when using it; if you release the spring when there is a gap between the striker and its target, the whole body will move and sting your fingers enough to help you remember next time.

These 2 little tools are a must have for anyone doing stuff around the house. The nail tool worked awesome and worked great for me! The door hinge tool worked just as well. Way better than using a hammer and screw driver to get the pin out.
Great deal

I purchased this set of Spring Tools after watching several YouTube videos on various ways to remove hinge pins from doors. I have a house built in the 70s with original hardware. One of the doors was sticking and I wanted to adjust the hinges to eliminate that issue. I had tried using a screwdriver with a hammer, and while it worked, I wanted something easier. In preparation for using this product, I tried going to the manufacturer's YouTube channel to get instructions on how to use it - step by step. There were none. I found another channel with a seller of a similar product and they had the tutorial I needed. Admittedly, this isn't tough to use, but there were some tips to avoid mishaps. I wish this tool came with a link to a tutorial, had updated YouTube videos on how to use the tools, or a brief instructional something on the packaging.Since the hinges are old, I sprayed a product to loosen up any rust or debris before using the tool. This helped a lot as when I tried dislodging the pin without it, even the power of the spring wouldn't budge 'em!I was able to successfully remove all the pins with the use of this spring tool, but one got stuck midway and would go no further by using the spring. I ended up using the claw end of a hammer to pull it up and out.I tried the other tool and it worked as expected, easily making a pinhole mark in wood and metal. I didn't pull back very hard on it, but I could see where it would be very useful too. Both tools seem well made and would be good for DIY and casual users. I don't think they are up to pro-quality, but for the occasional job, they are useful. For hinge pin removal, the spring tool worked as expected and made the job faster and easier.

I’m a painter and these tools come in handy on just about every job. I even bought a set for each of my brothers and my dad just because they’re useful tools to keep in your toolbox.

I had a flooring tech over doing some laminate flooring and he used these to take out the hinges on my doors. I was amazed at how fast they came out. I bought them the next week. I love these spring tools. Super easy to use, way better than knocking out hinges with a hammer and nail!

I trimmed out a house. Baseboard and door trim using a milwaukee 18v nailer.. Also hung 8 doors with new trim. Easy to pull door pins once the paint was scraped off. Sinking finish nails was a breeze. Very handy tools with no chance of leaving hammer marks. Time saver also! I don't know how I've gone without them now. My 30 year old nail set won't leave my box anymore.

Fantastic tool for getting the narrow finishing nails into place. Also surprisingly great at putting a couple of wood flooring nails that had popped out from my 50 year old floors back in place. The door hinge tool also works as advertised.

Came nicely intact in packaging. Have not had any chance to try them out yet in their original purposes. But have tested them out and they worked great. The spring tools are a compact lil handy tool waiting to be used.
