I looked at several available options for sprinkler head donuts as I needed a way to not lose my pop-up sprinklers in my lawn. After reading reviews on other (cheaper) products I decided to try these and I'm so glad I did. They were very easy to install, I just took a shovel and cut a circle around the sprinkler head, pulled the circle sod piece out and lifted the remaining sod a little to put the lip of the donut under. The lip on the item helps keeps the donut in place when you mow over it.Great product, highly recommend.

The protector looks like it will work well. The middle hole is good size to fit most sprinkler heads.Save some money and skip the boring tool. The diameter is smaller than the base of the protector so you have to use a shovel anyway.

Used a bread knife to cut grass using the donut as a stencil over the sprinkler head. Then merely dig up the ring of grass/dirt to the right depth and then refill edges with some remaining dirt. Takes about 10 min to do each. I had 15 heads and was done quick. Strong quality.Just one con...might want to file the molding burrs in the center hole. You will cut your finger when you install, then clear away loose dirt with your finger in the center around head. I did 3 times in the same place. Ouch.

When you sell a product like this, you should not need other tools to accomplish the job. The instructional video says you need a knife to install the Donut properly. Not a good design. The cutting tool does not even cut all the grass away.I am installing the Donuts in a different way. I am using landscape pins to hold them down instead of using a knife and doing all the silly step in the instructional video. It would have been nice if the rim on the Donut had holes in it that we can use for landscape nails to hold the Donut down.

Great product...I like that it is made in the USA! Just placed another order with the Sod Cutter!

It works with difficulty in St Augustine grass which in fairness is tough stuff. Not large enough to clear space for use with concrete donuts.

A little pricey but protects sprinkler heads. It is easy to use. Takes up a little space so will use more as I move those heads that are too close to the edge of my driveway.

THESE DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED THEM TO DO, SAVE YOUR SPRINKLER HEADS FROM GETTING GROWN OVER WITH GRASS OR WEEDS. I DID HAVE TO DO SOME WORK FOR EACH ONE I INSTALLED AND TO MAKE SURE YOU BURY THEM DEEP SO THE YARDMAN DOESNT HIT THEM AS THEY MOW.TIP: I USED YARD ANCHORS (LIKE TENT ANCHORS) TO KEEP THEM DOWN.THEY PROVIDE A SLIT ON EACH SIDE AND YOU CAN EASILY SLIDE AN ANCHOR INTO THE GROUND THRU THE DONUT TO KEEP THEM STABLE. THEY HAVE NEVER MOVED AND I USED 2 ANCHORS ON EACH SIDE OF DONUT. THEY ARE GREAT AND THE YARDMAN LIKES THEM VERY MUCH!!! MY NEIGHBORS ALL HAVE THEM NOW AND ORDERED THE SAME ONES ON AMAZON. GOOD PRODUCT!!!
