Everything important about this breaker worked, but the metal hook at the back was an issue with my 8 year old Square D QO panel. I had to use a Dremel cutoff wheel to trim away a portion of the hook. Don't trim too much and it will pop into position correctly with no problem. I tried to fit it without the trim with no success. Good value otherwise.

So I am really just including this review to get a picture up for others. I read through a ton of reviews, and still messed up and got the wrong one. Ah well, in the end I will still be able to say I did it myself. :-) To get the tandem version I should have ordered QO1515, the model number without the T. Now that I know which one to get I have decided it is too expensive for my blood, so I just got the QO15, single. Of course, someday I will pay more, when I run out of spots and am forced to buy the tandem, but I have a couple spots left. :-)

This particular assembly features two (2) separate 20-Amp breakers in a single enclosure that is exactly the width of a standard Square D QO circuit breaker. Although the back of the assembly isn't shown, it has a pivoting metal "hook" at the bottom that you engage before plugging the top of the breaker (which has a metal yoke type, plug-in connector) into the panel before it snaps firmly in place. This breaker will not fit the older Square D QO panels that us bolt-in breakers. I installed two of these tandem breakers in a compact Square D subpanel in my garage that had two breaker spaces and was rated at 60-Amps. The subpanel is a Square D QO2LL60NBNM QO "60-Amp, 2-Space 4-Circuit Outdoor Main Lugs Load Center w/ Non-Metallic Enclosure and Neutral ($27.27 current price on Amazon). So, now I have an outdoor subpanel with (4) 20-Amp 120v circuits at a material cost of a little over $65.00. VERY good value! This set-up would also work great in a detached shed, guest apartment, studio, shop, etc. Remember to bond the subpanel to the main breaker panel.

Works perfectly and was a lot less cost than any local suppliers

Great product but you have to plan your circuit assignments and breaker requirements carefully because SquareD only makes 15-15, 15-20 and 20-20 tandem breakers. They don't make a 20-15.

Difficult to find tandem breakers in 15/20 configuration. Perfect for my application. Fits QO style panel only.
