It wouldn't work in my breaker box but might have misunderstood. I recently replaced the whole breaker box in my home with the Square D, couldn't use Amazon because the power was out and no time. New box and breakers but didn't consider thee garage I use as my shop. Plus a bootleg 220 circuit I'd ran underground. Thought I could put this inside the new box, but it actually is meant to run it own sub panel, which could have worked too, I just didn't know enough then. I do think the seller should know enough about the product too , and explain it purpose, too. Maybe like meant for subpanels. Because saying it's a one pole breaker also means a regular 110 because it uses one of the 2 poles inside. each pole is a separate 110 signal from main breaker. So a 220 circuit is actually a 2 pole breaker, taking 110 from 2 separate poles. So this breaker is meant to be in a subpanel.
