This meter socket is intended for surface mounting and features a ringless design with a horn bypass and 4 jaws. The unit is for underground service applications with a solid top end wall and a 3 in. Maximum knockout in the bottom end wall.

Used all Square D for our new home build. I wish overall costs were lower, but these come in very affordable for a new home or remodel. Electric company hooked the main line into it with no problem!

I used with a 100 amp service. 1 1/4" conduit. So much room to work in here. Will work fine for at least up to 200 amp as well. Make sure to get the right sized hub if you're coming in the top. You also need an offset for the bottom, maybe the top as well.

The only problem I had was the outgoing sizes were 2 1/2", but I took care of that with a cutter. Worked fine!
