This kit was super easy to use and worked great. A little wood filler and you can hardly see where I drilled the holes and put in the screws. It does take some skill to make sure you hit the right floor joists, so I’d definitely suggest using a stud finder to get everything lined up right. Once that’s set, it’s just a matter of lining up the screw with the gripper tool, drilling to the right depth, and snapping off the excess. Really solid product—took me a minute to figure out the instructions, but it totally fixed that annoying squeak!

While it works, it should be noted that the main three-legged screw guide is made of plastic. A metal version would be better

Works well although because I used it on a Berber carpeted floor, when screwing in a few of the screws they pulled out loops in the carpet which are very noticeable. My carpet needs to be replaced so I don't really care. If it were new, I would have lost it! This product definitely eliminated the squeaking though. Don't really need the two plastic guides though. I just used a pliers to break off the top part of the screws that go into the plywood sheathing and joists. But again, the product does work.

Bought this and was incredibly excited as the floors in my bedroom creak horribly. Found the joist, placed the tripod, put the screw in and started driving it in. Unfortunately, the opening that the screw is supposed to go through is way too small. Avoid this at all costs.

For now, these seem to be doing the job. It does take a bit of knowhow to put these in correctly, making sure you don't miss the proper floor joists. I'd say to definitely use or invest in a stud finder to get the best alignment for these screws. Once you've got your screws lined up, it's just a matter of aligning the screw with the gripper tool, drilling down to the depth you need, then snapping off the excess. It's a lot more forgiving on carpeted floors, as messing up at first will leave obvious holes in your floor that will need to be patched / filled. Thankfully, the instructions and tools included don't fall apart, at least not for me, making this less of a learning curve and more of a fun learning experience. In the end, less squeaking floors throughout the house, taking away a few "years" off my older house.

The kit, combined with a studifinder, made finding the floor joists and fixing the squeaks easy. The screws shear off below the carpet so you feel nothing with your feet. Was fast and worked well.

Before using it, I was so confident that I wouldn't suffer from floor squeaky as long as I had it. The truth is, it doesn't solve the problem at all, and once you use the first Screws, there will be many more waiting for you. It is strongly not recommended, not only does it not solve the problem, but you have more trouble, more squeaky places, and holes that need to be patched, sanded, and painted.
