Excellent ! I was replacing a Saturn bulkhead compass that is now obsolete. My existing hole cut was 4" and to install the Venture, I used a 4 1/2" drum cutter. The hole cut came out fine and the Venture fit into it perfectly. They provide a full size compass template to drill the 4 holes for installing the Venture with non-metallic (plastic) studs and the final install went well with no issues. The compass is a bright blue and easy to read. The cover fits secure.To remove the cover, they have a small drawstring attached to a plastic tab on the cover and as long as you remember to always use the drawstring to pull off the cover, no problems. The cover fits secure !

Looks nice and is well lit. Comes with a weather cover which is a great add on. Although the finish on the cover's "pull bead" doesn't hold up in even mild weather luckily the water based stain wont permanently stain gel coat, but might stain fabric.

This is replacing an OLD Ritchie Compass that finally lost its fluid and fogged up. Perfectly fits and thanks for the free tiltometer.?

Compass and accessories ie cover, level, and light were nice surprises. Compass itself was as expected.However when mounting two of the flimsy plastic mounting bolts snapped as they were being screwed into compass base. I has to replace with non-magnetic stainless steel #10-24 bolts.

Great looking compass, and Simple to install. Easy to read even with old eyes😀 This was a replacement for an older compass that leaked.

Purchased this for a birthday present for his 22' Pathfinder CC....Needless to say, I had no idea how large this piece was. Used a 4" hole saw to set this on his console and it fits perfectly, other than being rather large. It is certainly the prettiest compass I have ever seen. It lights up blue at night and matches his LED's nicely. Would purchase again but maybe for a sailboat. He loves it and is ecstatic to have this on board his boat.

Broke one of the 10-32 plastic mounting bolts. Bought brass ready rod and cut my own bolts. Also, the wires for the back light are fragile, be careful with them
