Fit great. After two years and 6 hood pops later the rod went out and the hood fell on my head. Luckily the engine cover was resting on top of the motor and my hand on top of that took more of the hit.

This hood support is strong and much better than the original lift support that came on the GM Acadia.

So, I got this to replace the hood lift. It looked really old, like it had been sitting for more than a while. I even thought about returning it. However, I changed my mind and decided to try it. I have no complaints. It’s doing what it’s supposed to.
