Much smaller than I thought it was going to be. It appears well made, the cork seems to be firmly in place. I have tried it out and boy does it mute the trumpet down quote a lot. It should stop anyone complaining about noise in your house or your neighbours complaining. It's early days yet only haf it a short while. But keep in mind it's about the size of your closed fist of a medium sized person. Fits inside the bell very easily in fact it doesn't appear to stick out past the bell rim.It fits inside my trumpet case quite well beside my trumpet collapsible stand and valve oil bottles and slide grease.Based on my first impressions yes I would recommend it. And the price was reasonable considering it came from the USA to Australia in about 10 days from ordering. Im a Prime member so postage was free which helps. Our exchange rate doesnt help with purchases from overseas as it adds about 40% to the price in the States. So a $100 is $140 + a credit card charge of 3.5% on top too. I yry and buy l9cally as much as possible but its getting harder and harder to do so. One thing I don't understand is the price of books that are pdfs or Kindle. The price is virtually the same as a physical book. You don't receive a physical copy and if something happens to you device unless you have it backed up which many people don't do so getting it replaced could prove difficult. Just my thoughts.All my reviews are honest based on my experience with suppliers. I receive nothing for free and don't hold back on items that are junk.I'll edit my post if my views about this mute changes from my initial impression and usage.
