Works great for layout (though I wish it were slightly bigger), but it does scorch when soldering if not careful.

This cork mat is dense and thick making it quite sturdy and heat resistant. It's perfect for small works in small spaces like my tiny home, allowing me to still create on a less grander scale 😉. Pins seem to stay put really well with the density of this mat too. It comes with a set of two burnishing tools which I haven't tried yet as I have a favorite I like to use (who doesn't, lol) and I prefer not to change tools mid-project (can lead to some unexpected results, lol). I'll update if I run into issues when I try them on the next project. I'm happy with the mat, it's worth it ðŸ‘.

This is perfect beginners using stained glass! I was able to pin it and solder the spots very easily and it is heat resistant so I don't worry about ruining the table beneath it.
