Bought this item to repair a broken tailpipe on my old truck. After cleaning the break with a cutting wheel, I used a file to clean the edges, and slid this on. Clamps are very strong and well made. Entire product was excellent quality stainless steel construction as described.

They're diameter is measured from the outside edge which means the inside is more like 2 3/8ths and 1 7/8ths.

I am using this connector to convert a 2" exhaust to 2.5" stainless piping. I put this connector on at the Y, which was easy to fit and clamp and subsequently weld because of the smooth stainless steel finish. Down pipe I added a flex connector which was just as easy to fit and fix. I did this in my garage at home with the van lifted up 18", so I'm very appreciative of the quality that caused the easy fit. I was also glad to see the price at Amz is less than cold steel in my local parts store.

beautifully crafted quality stainless clamping exhaust adaptor. I used it to put in a new catalytic converter to replace the stolen one, and it went right on, fit like it should, tightened up easily and uniformly thus preventing the typical pipe deformation of a ubolt. Seems to be handling the heat of being next to the converter like a champ and did not leak and sound or smoke when installed with a little exhaust paste. Very easy repair..would totally do this again.
