These swivel/snap hooks are quite fairly priced. I used several of these to attach lanyards or other devices to my underwater camera rig, have had them on quite a few salt water dives, rinsed well in fresh water at the end of each dive day, and there's no indication of rust or corrosion I'm happy.

It is made of stainless steel… I bought it because of its perfect size for small pets, so I made a dog leash with it and the hook unclipped several times while on a walk. Thank goodness nothing bad happened, but this is a highly unreliable clip for animal purposes and shouldn’t be advertised as such.
