These are pretty strong for their size and I don't think this is a bad deal at all. I haven't used them for very long so not sure how good they will be as they are used for a longer period of time. I am using four of them to hold a diy light system I put together over some plants and as they get larger, these help make it so I can lift the lights accordingly. Only gave them a few fours on this review because I have only had them in use for about a month so far. So far so good.... but.... If they fail I will get back and comment on how and why I think that happened. Not expecting to need to do that at this point though.

I wanted a pulley for the dust collection hoses in my workshop. Something not large but sturdy. The nylon rope pulls smoothly through the pulley. I’d buy again if I needed more.

Cheap (price) for stainless steel. Used for anchor trolley for kayak. Only thing I didn't like was provider shorted me one unit, received 5 instead of 6. Amazon fixed issue by giving me a $10 certificate. Awesome customer service AMAZON!

I use two of these at each corner of a large rectangular sun shade I have over my deck to provide proper tension. They aren't really made for a compound pulley / rope setup- for that use, it would be nice if there was a loop at both ends. I was able to feed rope over the bar that connects the two sides, but the rope barely left enough room for the pulley to turn. It worked, though, and the extra mechanical advantage allowed me to pull the sun shade taut. I left the pulleys outside through an extremely rainy winter, and no rust formed.

I used these for my 3 dogs, I put up a cable line from tree to tree and attached these to the dog's 10 ft leashes. Made a perfect and safe dog run in and around the camp site, no tangled lies and leashed, gave the dogs room to run and explore safely.
