I saved myself a ton of money making my own spark arrestor screen. An online parts store wanted $10 dollars for the screen and $19.95 shipping. I bought a piece of SS screen approximately 10" x 12" for less than $10 on Amazon plus free shipping and I'll probably be able to make 15-20 spark arrestor screens. Many businesses are gouging the public.

It was the perfect amount to cover the exterior vent from my range hood. I had a family of birds that were trying to build a nest inside the exterior vent hole of my range hood and considering it was only a 6†hole I didn’t want to buy a roll of wire sheeting at the local hardware store for $20-$30. This was the perfect amount and it was exactly what I wanted-rigid yet flexible, and a smaller diameter spacing but not too small that it would restrict air flow. Birds are gone and we don’t have the annoying rustling sound every 10 minutes from them trying to get in and set up shop. Buy this for any of your smaller home projects!

The quality of the screen is good. The shipping and packaging not so much. Ordered a 5 mesh and a 20 mesh , got two 5 mesh screens that were shipped unprotected. The 20 mesh was the screen I most needed. It's kind of hard to truly rate it product that Amazon didn't send. I guess it's a crap shoot!

Bent the edges to use for cooking and keeping the grease from bacon or burgers from splattering all over everything. Worked great and clean up was a breeze

I didn't like that this mesh is only woven, it isn't welded together. However it is a good deal for the cost and stays together ok for what it is. You need to be careful if cutting it.
