In order to replace the sensor down there on the gas pedal you have to replace the whole unit including the pedal. That's because the sensor is built into the pedal on a 2007 Jeep JK just like the TPS sensor is built into the throttle body. Why oh why did Chrysler do this I'll never know. I went through the same thing replacing that TPS. Replced the entire throttle body. This accelerator pedal sensor is a clone of an OEM. I mean it is EXACTLY the same down to the tiniest detail. I would love to have just purchased a TPS for 30 bucks rather than the whole pedal unit for nearly a hundred, but what are ya gonna do?Removing the old assembly and installing this one was a bitch even though there are only two nuts to deal with as well as disconnecting the harness from the sensor. Disconnecting the harness was no challenge. The lower left nut was a breeze. The top right nut requires a double jointed circus acrobat to access it. But, it IS accessible. If I can do it anyone can. Being in my 60's I'm not as limber as I once was nor can I see as well as I once did. It took a little time and a moderate amount of cussin', but I got it done. This unit worked perfectly. There are a number of available options out there, but if you need this unit then this one is the one to get. It worked perfectly.

Fixed my problem, my wife's car was shutting off after about 20 minutes driving. I was getting codes p1618, p2111, p0642, and p2122.I was about to send the pcm to get tested because I was thinking that was the problem, but decided to chande the gas pedal first... I'm glad I did. I'm a mechanic and have been fixing cars for 15 years and it's the first time I see this problem. I will update this review if the pedal fails prematurely.Original part failed at 103 k miles. Hope you find this review helpful.

I read where a few of you had acceleration issues from the start. I was dreading this, but my mine did not have any performance issue. Looks exactly like the Mopar accelerator pedal. Much more affordable than the Mopar one also.

The 2 10mm nuts on the oem one came off without a fight, u have to remove the lower nut, unplug it, pull out and rotate a bit. Then with a 10mm box wrench u can get the top nut off, put the new control on, and reinstall. Works like oem

This is an easy part to install but you have to do all your yoga postures to get the top right nut out.As soon as I plugged in the part, turned the engine over and my jeep revved nonstop. My part is defective and I have to uninstall it. Thank you for wasting my time in 95° Florida summer
