It fixed my problem. My old check valve would no longer hold vacuum. I diagnosed my problem by blowing air through the black side and the white side. Neither direction would seal. This would result in my A/C system switching from dash A/C to blowing out the defroster vents when driving uphill. Also, while sitting at a long red light, the dash air would start blowing warm air. Here are the complete dimensions measured with a digital caliper: This vacuum check valve has 5mm O.D. tubes. The barbs are 5.8mm O.D.. Overall length end-to-end is 43mm. The valve body is 19mm O.D. The black side needs to be aligned (pointed toward) with the vacuum (engine) side.

The item pictured is made out of metal the valve I received is made out of plastic. I mean it works but It wasn't what I thought I was getting. We'll see how long it lasts.

The auto parts place wanted $24.00 for one. This one works perfect for $9.00 and some change.
