The metal pieces are held onto the rotor with melted plastic. I've found all the replacement rotors are constructed this way now, even Motorcraft. Eventually they will come apart some sooner than others. I've had three come apart on me. They used to be firmly riveted together with a metal rivet. Now I always carry an extra rotor in my truck.

When I'm replacing parts on my 1986 Ranger, I like to use what will last,High Standard replacement parts are top grade (even for a Ford)- I think this is better than the Rotor I removed- Good contact points- Thanks again Amazon for the ability to buy parts from the Backwoods of Wyoming at a good price

On first install it would not seat as it should. Caused it to rub on the cap. Thats why its 4 stars. After it warmed up from use it seated much better. Seems to work. Good product.

This doesn't fit a 1994 jeep Cherokee with a 4.0 liter even though Amazon says it will. Waste of 10.00 dollars and my time. The one one on the right is the correct one

This is a quality ignition part from standard motor parts higher tier line. Get this for your next tuneup. I used it on a 93 f150 4.9l straight 6.
