These fit well and worked well. In fact I should have ordered the voltage regulator to go with it. Over charged. Ended up getting a new alternator because I didn't want to pay that much for the voltage regulator and I found a crack in the alternator housing.

An alternator that throws the warning light at high RPM is a tell-tale sign that the brushes are warn. Provided your commutator bars aren't also worn out you can fix your alternator on the (very) cheap with this brush set.

Bought the product. Within 2 weeks I was getting low voltage on my gauge. Took the alternator back out to learn that the brushes broke and destroyed my alternator causing me to have to buy a new alternator. Do not buy. Garbage

Ok, so I have this 1998 Lincoln Navigator with the 5.4 Triton V8 engine and the 3G alternator which was popular on a great many Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Mazda vehicles.You'll know you have the 3G alternator if you can see the entire voltage regulator on the back. The voltage regulator is the part that has the 3 wire connector.There are two versions of this alternator, a 95 amp, and a 130 amp version. The 130 amp version has 2 holes in each of the 3 "webs" running from the center hub to the outer edge of the alternator. Both regulators take the same rebuild and repair parts. This includes bearings, voltage regulator, brush assembly, etc...My alternator quit working. When I removed it from the engine and removed the voltage regulator, it found that one of the brushes was completely worn out. Turns out, this is a normal wear pattern. I have also learned that the most common failure in these alternators is the brushes.Though I could not find anything definitive linking this particular brand and model to the Ford 3G alternator, I figured at $10.66 it was worth a shot. My gamble paid off. This assembly is a direct fit for the Ford 3G alternator.If you're looking for replacement brushes for the Ford 3G alternator, this will work, and at $10.66 with free shipping if you are a prime customer, you can't go wrong.Once I got the alternator back on the engine, and tested it, everything worked fine. I fixed my alternator for under $11. Sure beats 90+ to replace the alternator.

Day one! I just installed this part on in my Ford f150 alternator . Went in easy and fit. IDK how long it will last.One week update!My battery light is coming on and off on dash so it didn't work for me more then a week I had to replace the whole alternator.i believe my alternator is worn out.
