These are a little smaller than the ones out of the starter in the 45 year old dozer but the starter now works fine.They work so it was a good buy, hundreds of dollars cheaper than buying a starter.

These brushes worked great, they bolted right in. Watch the beveled edges, there are designed to go in one way. A cheap & easy swap to add more life to my 1967 Corvair starter motor. Tip: clean the commutator well and replace starter drive while you're in there. Lube the solenoid fork pivot too. I replaced my solenoid too, but some old timers warn to NOT replace it solenoid since new solenoids are cheaper and use less copper.
