Bought a Wet vac from Walmart and it said on the box the filter was included. Got home and it was not, called the help hotline and they informed me it was a misprint and not included. They informed me this one was the fit, and it was. I ordered at 9pm and was waiting for me the next day after work. Works great

I called Craftsman customer service to get the part # for the main cylindrical filter that goes in thier 5Gal wet/dry vac (I bought mine at LOWE's). The funny part is, if you look in the manual it gives you the LOWE's item #, not helpful if you want to buy on Amazon. Here is the part # you need 082566. I spent a lot of time trying to find this information online before I called Craftsman. Not sure why they make it so difficult??? A LOWE's part # IN THE MANUAL??? FYI: Craftsman is now owned by Stanley Black & Decker.

There is nothing to dislike about this product. I have had my Shop Vac for several years & just now replaced my filter. Depending on what you are vacumming up, if you keep it clean (I blow mine out with the air compressor after every few uses) & wash it as directed, you will very seldom have to replace this filter. Be sure to let it dry completely before re-installing & using for dry pickup.
