Bought this and a 3-pound hammer to split the top edges off of large rocks that have worked their way to the surface of our lawn and threatened the lawn mower blades. Worked great and the point stayed sharp even after chipping the protruding tips off of the yard rocks. The hand guard is sturdy and obviously is designed to truly prevent you from hitting your hand if the hammer misses the chisel top. Works well, no broken hand.

Shattered to pieces literally the first time I hit it with a hammer. Very poor quality.

Bought for a project - really saved my hand. Held up fine, no problems. Also bought the other cold chisel and used both.Can't find a fault with them.

Chisel was bigger than expected. It's solid and should last a very long time. Handle grip is comfortable and FAT. However the handle grip keeps sliding off the chisel when pounding it hence the three star rating. Got mine on sale so it was worth the price.

the very first time I used it on rock, its tip bent and the tip point fell off, so its tip became blunt and thick

I purchased this chisel with hope it would help me remove a few areas of bedrock sticking up from my lawn. It worked ok for about an hour before the tip sheared off. I had been using a hammer and occasionally a sledge to have the chisel break the rock. I guess I was hoping this would have lasted a little longer. I'm sure it probably works for some rocks and concrete. I may just have to fork out money for a hammer drill.
