I have to go through large piles of paper for my work, and have to remove tons of staples so that I can scan in documents. I usually use the claw-type staple removers. These work fine, but can be difficult at times, especially when dealing with a large stack of stapled paper or a stack that uses heavy duty staples. This staple remover is much larger, which is a drawback in my opinion, but it works great! It is very easy to wedge the remover under the staple. Depending the paper/staples you are handling, you can either slide the entire piece to remove the staple, or can you squeeze the handle down to pop it out. This will make a great addition to the bag I bring with me for work.

So I've never had one design like this before so it took a little getting used to. But it's working!I got it to remove staples from my cat tree because I'm reupholstering it (which is probably not what it's for) but by golly it worked! The staples are a little narrower than traditional ones for paper but with out this little tool, I wouldn't have gotten any out!Pros: easy to press, no squeaking or noise, functions good,Cons: the design is a little big for my handsI think its worth it especially if you are using it on papers

I recently tried the acclookss staple remover, and I’m honestly pretty disappointed. I was hoping for a reliable tool for removing staples, but it consistently damaged the paper, especially with smaller stacks. As the description says, it might be “heavy duty,†but in my experience, it didn't work well on staples used on anything less than about 6-7 pages. Every time I tried to remove a staple from a thinner stack (2-3 pages, for example), the remover ended up ripping the corners of the paper. It successfully pulled the staple out, yes, but at the cost of tearing the paper around it. This makes it useless for many everyday stapling tasks. I wouldn’t recommend this staple remover unless you’re consistently working with thick stacks of paper. For thinner stacks, it’s more trouble than it’s worth.

I having been using a similar remover that I have to fight to get under the staple. I thought this one would be awkward since the handle stands so high but it is smooth and easy to work and slides under staples beautifully.

Decent quality. Saves my fingernails and from getting poked anymore at the office. Easy to use - you just position the metal tip under the staple and gently squeeze the handle. The only thing I don't appreciate about it is the fact that it tends to rip the corners of the paper every time.

This style is an upgrade to the more common claw style staple remover. First, this one doesn't seem to tear the paper nearly as much. But more importantly, by being bigger and allowing you to press down, it is much easier on your hand. I have carpel tunnel and gripping small or tight things can be hard, so the traditional staple remover hurts if its more than one or two staples. This is much easier on my hand, letting me press on it and overall being bigger. It's a good addition to the home or office.
