Loved this tool. Used on 300 square foot new tile for preparation. Old floor had two layered 1/4 inch subfloors with a billion floor staples in each layer. This tool made easy work of pulling these long staples out so I could put 1/4 cement board down before tiling. Cut my labor time by 90% for pulling these staples out. Tiles turned great in less time than estimated

The tip is very sharp and easily picks narrow or wide staples. The rounded edge can be pivoted and levered to easily pull the staple out. Buried staples still require some work to get the sharp tip under it. I'd buy again.

So I have utilized 3 other tools to remove carpet staples from my stairs without completely damaging it. The video on the professional using it sold it to me but it wasn’t that easy.So I was able to remove the staples a hell of a lot easier compared to previous products, even when the top of the staple snapped, I was able to use another tool that I had to pull it out. It won’t get those dug in there with damaging the floor but overall satisfied.

Used it to remove a metal brace for an old lighting fixture held to a joist by a staple. This tool was the only thing I found that easily let me maneuver in a tight space and pry out the staple. Excellent product. Very sturdy and functional.

This thing made extracting 75,000 flimsy garbage carpet staples much easier. While it did not eliminate the need for pliers, the flimsy staples broke much less frequently when I used the thing, so I'd call that a win.

I highly recommenced using a 6 ounce hammer to help this tool get under the staple. It is great for the tight space at the top of the riser and is easy to use on the step or floor
