This was a little pricey, but Amazon had the best price from shopping around. This was my daughter's BIG Christmas gift and she loves it! She's still playing with it and it has so many features, I don't think we've discovered all of them! My only complaint is that there are several small pieces and the droids heads can fall off, but for an older kid, mine is 8, it is a great toy!

As an avid Star Wars fan and collector I was looking forward to this behemoth of a toy. Amazon delivered it sooner than expected which was great but sadly there was a big gaping hole in the side of the original packaging, damaging the long term collecters value. The MTT itself was undamaged. The supplied stickers are a bit of a pain to put on but it did make me remember the old toys i used to have as a kid from the Star wars line: they were always a bother to attach so that was more nostalgic than annoying. The motorized deployment of the droids is great: cool sound effects and a flawless execution makes this quite the show-off piece, a bit like the Book of the Sith Holocron thing. The set comes with 20 droids and an Obi Wan but only four of them are worth anything. 16 are just for decor and they come apart very easily: the heads fall off, they can't hold a gun and have only very basic articulation: a bit like the 'real' droids from the movie actually ...All in all this is definitely worth it's asking price and while I'm not a huge fan of The Phantom Menace, it's the thing to have from that movie!

As others have said, the carrier itself is solidly built and there is a lot of excitement watching the droid holder deploy. The fun ends there. The droids are flimsy and don't stay put on the racks. Nine times out of ten, something prevents the racks from going back in, whether it is part of the rack falling off its pivot or an unstable droid falling off. This toy is extremely disappointing.

Very large item. Nice unit. However, the track mechanism is tricky and can get stuck if you don't fully manually reset the components. I think this will eventually damage the unit. Also, the unit sometimes does not work and you need to adjust the batteries often to get it started again.

Pros: 1. great Army Builder, lots of droids (20 in all) 2. Electronic sounds, I believe there are approx.10 and 2 or 3 of them are entire battle sound sequences.(plus engine and Missile fire sounds)3.dozens of pegs to place figures, not including the ones on the retractable rack.4. great Amount of playability. each back side opens up for extra playing room, and the pilot hatch opens up and can become a guard tower with machine turrets.5.There is a storage section at the top back part of the MTT, that can be used to store figures, weapons or whatever you can come up with, the hatch is actually made for a droid mini-rig fighter. coming out this year.(2013)6. tons of space for figures! I've been testing the limits to see how many figures I can put in it. I put all (16) figures that it came with in the retractable rack and the (4) articulated ones up in the pilot station. Then I proceeded to comfortably place (8) super battle droids in the back sides for a total of (28) Droids! Note: that's with all doors and hatches closed! who knows how many if you had it all opened up!7. just an eye popper! The retractable rack is amazing to watch and as soon as it deploys, you want to redeploy it! Very Nicely made, with significant detail!8. Durability HOLDS UP WITH ITS SIZE,(6) big rolling wheels help you move it easily across hard floor and carpet.9. Firing missiles (2) with swiveling cannons, Missile fire easily, not insane distance but far enough, mine launches Approx. (2)Feet.10. Both Clone Wars and regular Series figures compatible! Cons: 1. (16) of the droids are relatively worthless! They can only move their head and right arm at the shoulder! ( I just leave them on the rack) considering these battle posed battle droids have no playability whatsoever! (worse than Kenner Figures)2. No electronic lights, and not nearly enough sounds or dialog, although the sounds are cool it gets really old hearing the same sounds and phrases over and over in such a short time frame.3. Not enough Firing missiles for my taste (2). The republic attack shuttle had (5). The Turbo Tank had (8). The AT-AT only had (2) but it had the features (lights and more sounds) to compensate for only having (2)4. It Was Made to hold another vehicle, but didn't provide it, forcing people to pay more for a feature it should have given you to begin with. not to mention. the purchase of this mini-rig requires you to buy another Obi-Wan... and if you're like me, you already have a million of him. and don't need another one!5. Extremely difficult sticker placing. (IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY COULD HAVE PUT SOME OF THE DIFFICULT ONES ON FOR YOU!)6. Insanely Expensive for its worth! I paid $73 dollars for mine and am so glad I did not pay the full retail price. As nice of an addition as it may be to my collection I would not advise anyone to break the bank over this vehicle. simply because its quality does not match that of it's original price.(BY A LONG SHOT!)Thank You very much for reading this, and I hope you've found it helpful.

This is the most amazing STAR WARS TOY Made by Hasbro to date it was made for the 2012 3D Movie re releases as it did not get made for the original Phantom Menace.so fans old and young that were first introduced to this back in 1999 have been waiting 13 years for this. I am phenomally pleased with this as the product information is accurate but no one has rated its PLAY value as of yet. My nephew and I bought this when it was first available and it was an instant adventure for us we stayed up till 3 in the morning till he fell asleep playing with it so for $130.00 a bit steep but if you figure in that it comes with 21 figures at $9.99 each = 209.79 plus tax that alone is more than the price of the entire set sure the figures are not their best quality but they are made to work with the toy and have moveable gun arm and head with removable blaster that can also be mounted on their back like the standard battle droid. The Obi wan Kenobi looks like a re make of the 1999 figure that was not very articulated but great for Play because it is tough. the MTT comes with sound effects like firing cannon SOUND, droid phrases, ROGER ROGER, BLAST EM and a few more, a button that automatically depolys or retracts the droid cage. The MTT has a bridge that seats 3 droids it also has 2 side engine/maintainance stations that can hold another 15 to 20 droids and as a BIGGER BONUS the MTT has a cargo hold that can carry the newly released 2013 MTT Droid fighter that has a battle droid and that includes another Obi wan Kenobi but a battle droid with blue color scheme. Im just hoping that they make one in seperatist colors.
