My aircraft welding manual from 1942 high-speed steel blades were the only kind that last, so I bought these. I am still on my first saw blade after at least 30 cuts and there's life still left. By now, the big box blades would be missing teeth and on their way to the bin, if not in it already.

I've been using these to cut 1/8" 6061 aluminum. Going through it very well, leaves a nice finish when done. Haven't had to replace the blade yet after several cuts. Probably best to lubricate with some WD-40 or equivalent (WD-40 is not a lubricant in itself...but for quick jobs, it will provide temporary 'lube' qualities and help keep the metal from gumming up in the teeth of the blade. Other people use bees wax blocks and so on...research the best for you).Any 12" hacksaw will fit these blades, but pictured is which I got from one of the bigger hardware stores. I don't wholly recommend it and you can read my review for it there if you want. If you're going to buy a hacksaw with a blade storage area, there are better options.

If you hate hacksaws it is probably because you've never tried one with a good blade.Starret makes good blades for hacksaws and bandsaws. These will stay sharp longer than a cheapo and at these prices, there is no excuse for using a lesser blade.Keep in mind: saw blades and files only cut one way, if you drag them backward through your cut you can chip off teeth and dull them prematurely. Don't try to cut stainless with a dull blade, it will work harden in the cut and kill the blade (a sharp blade should do fine). Don't try to cut hardened steel either. If you know what you're doing and using a good sharp blade, a hacksaw can be almost a precision tool rather than a tool you curse.

Nicer quality than the other brands of hacksaw blades that were available at my local big box hardware stores.

If you are going to cut Carbon Steerer's or seat posts, make sure to order extras.Carbon is very harsh on these blades and make sure to use fast light movements on the hacksaw handle or else the blade will dull very fast if you go to slow.

Good bang for the buck, still better than your average big box store blade.

These are terrible quality and not worth the money. The teeth were blunt after cutting 5 sections of 3/8” pipe
