I don't know why people complaint so much. Buy from Onkata and you'll receive perfect Made in Usa Starrett items. They come out of the factory and surely you will be able to return them if need be.I originally bought wrongly a Starrett chinese line divider (they have also a Chinese line of products). Then I bought from Onkata, delivered to Italy, and despite an overseas delivery the item is perfect, in every part.Please Starrett, continue to produce this magic!

These Starrett dividers are beautifully designed butvery poorly made, at least the dividers I purchased.The tips were not properly pointed for marking, anddo not meet together when the dividers are closeddown thus making dividing small distances impossible.Very nice dividers but essentially unusable.

Starett has been making the finest measuring instruments for decades. This is a fine piece of equipment that will last your lifetime and then another.Fit and finish are of the highest quality and function is flawless. Dont be fooled by cheap import garbage for half or less of the price. If you want the best and have the $$ buy this divider !!!

When it comes to anything made by Starrett you should add a couple of stars to the rating system. The ultimate in quality, bordering on being art. I have several tools made by the folks up in Athol, not a single complaint about any of them. In a society with a throw away mentality this company truly stands out. I'm confident that most, if not all, of the Starrett tools I own will be used for years to come by my grandchildren.

I have been using a set of German dividers for stone setting layouts for some time now. Kept seeing the Starrett dividers used on professional stone setting tutorials . I have to say that after using these, there is a world of difference in good old American ingenuity built into these. My German dividers are now a paperweight!! Great tools like this are so worth the extra money. These are truly a work of art.

I saw other negative reviews but thought that these people just got unlucky. Sadly that was not the case :) the quality just isn't there. The points don't align when fully closed, there's a considerable gap and a misalignment between them. Of course I can polish and re-grind the points and you wouldn't expect to need to do that from a 70$ calipers now would you? I honestly regret spending my money on this.

Overall quality of the dividers is pretty good. The tip of one leg was so thin it bent immediately, causing the legs to be uneven. Now I need to try to file and reshape them both to be even again.

El compás tiene muy buenos materiales y muy buen diseño. Sin embargo, como se aprecia en las fotos, las puntas no están paralelas. Una de ellas está rotada, y no un poco. Esto es algo que una marca como Starrett no puede permitirse. Son productos caros y se paga el precio por su calidad. Es la segunda vez que me sucede que un producto de Starrett llega con una calidad no digna de la marca y precio, y tengo que devolverlo. Cuando el producto llega sin problemas de calidad es un producto excepcional.
