I had a failing killernetwork chip on my motherboard, thing kept dropping to sub 10baseT speeds for no reason. Dozens of driver updates wouldnt fix it. I gave up and bought this StarTech card to fix the issue...This card is solid. Was instantly recognized by win11, loaded up valid and clean drivers. Hasn't given up yet, and is still going strong at full speeds on my network. Many many gb later, tb even, and its not had a single hiccup.I like how tiny it is too, AND its a nice general coloring (not that ugly green PCB color you see of other brands). It comes with a half-height pci shield as well, so if you have a smaller form factor case, it will fit! And, then it being pcie1, it works in basically any slot you got open.I definitely recco this card to friends and family... Even enemies. It is that good.

For some reason, my onboard LAN kept dropping off. So instead of sending the board back to the manufacturer and having them fix it, I installed this PCI-Express Gigabit Network Server Adapter. I just popped it in, and I was off and running. Did many speed tests. At one point I got an upload speed of 1Gig. I never saw that before. Great card! (Running Windows 11 and no drivers installed)

I got this because I wanted to dual home a machine I use as a local server in my house, and that I also use to manage my network. Threw this in, configured it on the management network, and it works exactly as it should. No need for any kind of driver installation on win 10. Plugged it in and it worked flawlessly.

Beware, this is Realtek chipset based NIC, NOT an Intel chipset as is wrongfully stated in the product description. If you are looking for an Intel base NIC, you'll need to look elsewhere. Other than that, the card does a good job.

Put this card in my media server at home as I needed the gigabit connection for proper streaming. Installed easily, drivers work with Windows Server 2008 R2 - good product.

I purchased this for an ageing Intel Core 2 system that has faulty onboard LAN controllers.Installation was simple, after fitting it into a spare 'full height' PCIe x16 slot and powering up, Windows 10 recognized the new controller and installed an upto date WHQL driver for it (a later version than the one supplied on the driver disk).So far its working as per spec with no problems.
