This product has been a time saver. I install storage arrays for a living and these arrays have dual controllers that require a serial connection for initial setup. Being able to have a console session open to both controllers at the same time has saved me a lot of running back and forth to switch cable connections. This works flawlessly with Windows 10 Pro and has been field tested on Mac OS as well. A perfect tool for installers of equipment with serial console connections. It also works just fine with Cisco and Dell roll-over cables as well as those Compellent SC4020 proprietary serial cables.

This cable is well made and works excellent for my purposes. The fixed-port feature is nice because you can save profiles in secure CRT.Windows 7 (64bit) does not have the required drivers, but once you install them from the bundled CD it works flawlessly. I got rid from the annoying blue screens and forced reboots.I really recommend it.

Electrically this product works as advertised. The driver makes both ports visible to my MacBook Air running Lion (10.7), even though Lion is not specifically mentioned as a supported environment.The fatal flaw in this product, sadly, is the mechanical design of the RS232 cable itself. The cable has two male DB9 connectors for the serial ports, yet these connectors are fitted with PERMANENT NON-REMOVABLE FEMALE standoffs. They can't be unscrewed and removed. They block any connection to a female DB9 which is (normally) fitted with the same standoffs. I can't believe a good product is so flawed.To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I was depending on this product to diagnose a problem for my company tomorrow. I felt lucky I was able to get the product overnight, only to find out it can't be connected to anything without taking a hacksaw to the connectors.Be forewarned.

Works as advertised. You will need a null gender adapter changer if you need to connect it to the instrument that has the same gender.
