So far, so good! Works as intended. Picture quality is pretty good, and lets my computer boot up -- Unlike the cable I bought before this one.

This item was very well made exactly what I needed-I have ordered from StarTech before and as always I am very much satisfied with their products. I will at sometime in the future order from them again-Thank You-I have compared other like cables from other vendors but they were cheaply made and one could tell that they were poorly made-The startech cable was made heavier and fit the ports like I wanted them to fit not loosely. This cable was well worth the money.

It works fine, does the job. Not sorry I bought it at all.

Disclaimer: I've only tried this on one monitor and one computer, so my challenges listed could just as easily be my graphics card or something weird in my monitor as anything to do with this cable.I hooked this DP -> HDMI converter cable from my DP++ port on my laptop to a Viewsonic VP2772. My monitor's native resolution is 2560 x 1440 but when I used this converter, the maximum resolution choice was just 2048 x 1152. Long story short, after quite a bit of troubleshooting and poking around in the settings, I went into my nVidia Control Panel and added 2560 x 1440 in as a custom resolution and forced it into using that. The automatic timings were incorrect, but I was able to determine what to set it to and now it looks great. This hardly counts as plug-n-play, but with quite a bit of finessing, it did wind up working and looks great. I do wish I could figure out what caused the downgrade in automatic resolution detection, though. I would take off a few stars if I was sure that this was purely the result of the cable but since I'm not sure that this is the case, I'll do just 1.NOTE:Per the information found on StarTechs website [...], this is a PASSIVE adapter which means your source MUST be DP++ (aka dual-mode Display Port). I suspect that most computers that have DisplayPort at all are likely to have DP++, but you should verify that yours does before buying this. If it doesn't sport the "++", you'll need an active converter. Also, if you are running multiple monitors at max resolution, you may also want to verify that your card can handle the ++ conversion and still maintain max resolution.

StarTech cables are well-designed and sturdy. I have used them in many applications. However, read the description and specs carefully. I overlooked the passive spec when I purchased this cable and my GUI card with DP port would not drive the monitor which only had an HDMI port. I'll return this cable and order an active type that will convert the DP signal to HDMI.

Yo estoy contento
