Works just fine as a serial port on Win10. I opted for this version as it supports keeping the com port the same even if you move to another port on laptop.

This worked fine on my PC, but not my macOS Sequoia machine I bought it for. I downloaded multiple drivers from Vtop, FDI, Prolific, & minicom, but nothing worked to make the machine detect it. I did try 2 of these adapters with the same results. If someone knows a way to get it working I am all ears.

Installed the latest macOS 10.15 driver from their site. After using the serial adapter, the Mac hangs when trying to shut down. The Mac shuts down properly otherwise.

As far as speedy USB to serial cables go, it's good enough, but the inclusion of non-removable fixing nuts is a pain, as in my experience, the vast majority of devices you want to plug the cable into, would have the nuts at the female socket end (*insert joke here*), meaning the plug should have screws instead; once I got the snips to them, it fitted my device and worked a treat.
