This has been a great replacement for my last valve stem that mysteriously disappear disappeared… I found the original later in the depths of my dishwasher, partially melted. Lesson learned, I hand wash now!Anyhow, this works wonderfully and I haven’t had any issues.

It fits perfectly on my pressure cooker and I'm so glad I found that part on Amazon. You just have to be very careful to get the exact part to fit your pressure cooker. Now, I bought myself another pressure cooker that is so much easier to use and the stems are built into the lid.

But this after destroying my last valve and this one works like a charm. Actually seems more sturdier than the original.

A little smaller than the original, but still fits on my instant pot lid. I have to be careful when turning to seal or release, because there is no resistance when I turn it. It goes the full 360° circle, without catching in place. It functions though, so good enough.

Did you know that the lid of the Instant Pot can go in the dishwasher. Remove the silicone ring put that on the upper shelf, take off the pressure guage, put that in the silverware basket and put the lid in the lower shelf.I thought my Instant Pot was on it's last leg (I've had it for years) but now it's like new again. You can also replace the silicone ring. I haven't figured out a way to get the cooking smell out of the silicone ring.

I use my IP several times a week and when our first valve went undetected into the garburator, we replaced it with this universal valve, HOWEVER, it does not seal - it's fine for the slow cooker function but won't seal for pressure cooking.
